From 10 to 12 May 2026, Ambassador Davide Giglio carried out an official visit to Cebu, one of the Philippines’ leading economic and cultural centers.
During his stay, the Ambassador met with Governor Pamela Baricuatro and Mayor Nestor Archival, to whom he renewed Italy’s friendship and closeness to Cebu, while reaffirming Italy’s interest in developing new collaborations and joint initiatives in areas of shared interest, including infrastructure and water resource management.
The Ambassador also met with the local Italian community, with whom he celebrated the 80th Anniversary of the Italian Republic.
During the visit, consular activities were likewise carried out for the benefit of Italian nationals residing in the area.
