Please note: This service interruption does not affect visa applications, which will continue to be accepted as usual at the Visa Application Centres operated by VFS Global.
Visa applications for Italy are handled by the outsourcing company VFS Global through the following Visa Application Centers:

Schengen regulations provide for a visa processing time of 15 calendar days, which may be extended up to 30 days if necessary (Art. 23 of the Schengen Visa Code). For national visas, processing time may extend to 30 days for family and employment purposes, and up to 120 days for self-employment. The Embassy of Italy in Manila is committed to processing each visa application as efficiently as possible.
Please note that, especially during the period from February to September, applicants are strongly advised to observe the minimum timeframe of 15 calendar days between the submission of the application and the intended date of travel, as applications submitted with a shorter notice may not be processed in time.
Applications may be submitted as early as 180 days before the intended date of travel (270 days for seafarers).
Additional processing may apply to applicants who are nationals of countries subject to security consultations.
