The Ambassador of Italy to the Philippines, Davide Giglio, participated in the 55th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders’ Meeting and Related Meetings, held in Palau from 31 August to 3 September 2026.
A Dialogue Partner of the Pacific Islands Forum since 2007, Italy reaffirmed on this occasion its long-standing commitment to supporting Pacific Island countries and the region’s priorities.
In this context, Italy has allocated a contribution of USD 500,000 to the Pacific Resilience Facility, a regional financing mechanism aimed at strengthening the resilience of Pacific Island countries to the impacts of climate change.
