The Italian Embassy in Manila, in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, organized a trade mission to the Philippines from March 6-8, 2023. This event saw the participation of more than 20 Italian companies from three macro sectors: water and agriculture, transportation and energy.
The purpose of this year’s event was to build, deepen and strengthen previous relationships between Italian and Filipino businesses. The three-day mission began with a visit to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), where the Italian companies explored the opportunities offered by the bank, with in-depth presentations and meetings with ADB’s sectoral and geographic units.
On the second day, the companies were divided into their respective sectors so that they had the opportunity to establish a direct line of contact with Philippine authorities active in each sector covered by the mission.
On the third day, the delegation first met with representatives of major Philippine conglomerates in a plenary session. In the afternoon, following a convivial time, business-to-business meetings were held between the two business parties.
The trade mission aimed to create new investment opportunities between Italy and the Philippines and to showcase the excellence of some of the best Italian companies active in each covered sector.
