On the occasion of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death, the Philippine Italian Association, the Dante Alighieri Society in Manila and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, under the auspices of the Embassy, join forces with the Film Development Council of the Philippines , the National Library of the Philippines and many others to promote Massimiliano Finazzer Flory’s latest film production on Dante Alighieri and the Divine Comedy, entitled: DANTE PER NOSTRA FORTUNA(DANTE, OUR LUCK).
The first screening of the film will take place in Ravenna, Italy, on March 25, 2021, a symbolic date and place as March 25 is considered the beginning of Dante’s journey to the afterlife, and Ravenna is the place where Dante died 700 years. does. Simultaneously it will be screened online in Manila and other major capitals with a special message from the author.
The film will be accessible for free for 48 hours on March 25 and 26, 2021, without registration and with no limit to the number of viewers. It will be in Italian (with English subtitles) to better appreciate the cadence of the verses.
