(a) VISA FOR ADOPTION
Parents who have completed the procedures for international adoption or foster care, in order to allow the children to enter Italy, must download and fill out the National Visa Application Form D and provide the following documentation:
– named authorization issued by the Commission for International Adoptions
– valid passport with an expiration date at least three months longer than that of the requested visa
– recent passport-size photograph
Depending on the sensitivity of the matter, in these cases please go directly to the Embassy’s Visa Office during regular opening hours but also without an appointment.
The visa for adoption or foster care is free of charge.
(b) VISA BY INVITATION.
The visa for ‘Invitation’ allows entry into Italy to the foreign national who, although without any particular public function, has been invited by public or private but well-known Bodies, Institutions, organizations to participate in public events or demonstrations of a political, scientific or cultural nature.
This visa is also issued to the foreign national who must travel to Italy because he or she is summoned or invited by the Italian Judicial Authority or for the exercise of the right of defense.

(c) MISSION VISA.
The Mission Visa is granted to the foreign national who, for reasons related to his or her political, governmental or public function, must travel to Italy.
Therefore, foreign citizens who hold government positions or who are employees of the Public Administration, Public Bodies or International Bodies sent to Italy for reasons related to their functions have access to this visa.

(d) VISA FOR RE-ENTRY.
In case of re-entry (for Italian residence permit holders), you will need to download and fill out the National Visa D application form and the following documentation.
(e) VISA FOR INVESTORS.
Should a Filipino citizen intend to make investments in Italy, it will be necessary to download and fill out the National Visa D application form and have the following documents:
– specific Nulla osta issued by the Investor for Italy Committee
– Valid travel document with an expiration date at least three months longer than that of the requested visa
– recent passport-size photograph
(f) VISA FOR ELECTIVE RESIDENCE.
If a Filipino citizen is interested in settling in Italy, but does not have family, study or work-related reasons and has the necessary means to live in the country, it will be necessary to download and fill out the National Visa D application form and have the following documentation:
– documented and ample independent, stable and regular economic resources, the continuity of which can reasonably be assumed over time, from sources other than employment activities
– availability of housing to be elected as residence, either owned or rented with a contract already signed
– valid travel document with an expiration date at least three months longer than that of the visa applied for
– recent passport-size photograph
