The Italian Residence is located in the prestigious district of Makati, within the renowned Dasmariñas Village. Acquired by the Italian government in the 1970s, the Residence is characterized by its elegant and classic style, which beautifully reflects Italy’s artistic heritage and rich cultural legacy. It was co-designed by Architect Lilles and the family owners, Rafael R. Rufino Sr. and Julieta Abad Rufino.
Over the years, special attention has been given to making the Residence a welcoming place that showcases Italian identity and culture.
Inside, a selection of artworks, furniture, and decorative objects by Italian and Filipino artists is displayed, creating an atmosphere of eclectic elegance.
Over the years the Residence has hosted numerous distinguished representatives of Philippine institutions, as well as high-ranking officials from the diplomatic corps accredited to Manila. It also serves as a gathering place for visiting Italian dignitaries and representatives of the small but vibrant Italian community living in the Philippines.
