WHERE TO APPLY FOR A VISA IN THE PHILIPPINES
Following the recent agreement between the European Union and the relevant authorities, citizens of PALAU are exempt from the Schengen visa requirement for short stays (up to 90 days in any 180-day period). In all other cases, the provisions set out in the following paragraph shall apply.
Filipino citizens and nationals of countries whose citizens are required to obtain a visa (please check here to determine which countries are subject to the visa requirement) who are legally resident in the Philippines may submit their applications:
- a) At the Visa Office of the Embassy of Italy in Manila:
Only for diplomatic and adoption visas, by appointment, which must be requested by email at visti.manila@esteri.it. The Visa Office is open from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 12:00.
- b) At one of the VFS Global outsourced Visa Application Centres
All other applicants are encouraged to book an appointment through the VFS website. Alternatively, they may visit one of the four VFS Visa Application Centres for Italy in the Philippines without a prior appointment and submit their visa application using the walk-in service, subject to payment of an additional fee.
Applications for Italian visas will be handled by the outsourcing company VFS Global through the following Visa Application Centres (opening hours apply):

FAMILY MEMBERS OF EUROPEAN UNION/EEA CITIZENS
The applicable legislation (Directive 2004/38/EC and Legislative Decree No. 30/2007) provides for certain facilitations for family members of EU/EEA citizens.
At the outsourced service provider, applications submitted by family members of EU/EEA citizens are processed as a matter of priority (limited to those recognised as such under Directive 2004/38/EC). Such applicants may attend the Visa Application Centre without an appointment on opening days between 09:00 and 12:00.
In order to demonstrate the family relationship, applicants must present an identity document and, as applicable, a marriage, family relationship or birth certificate registered with the competent Italian authorities.
Under the applicable legislation, family members of EU/EEA citizens benefit from simplified documentary requirements. Applicants should therefore use the relevant tourism checklist or, in the case of family reunification, the relevant family reunification checklist.
